Each spin uses your browser's crypto.getRandomValues(), a cryptographically secure random number generator backed by the operating system.

We use rejection sampling to choose an entry without modulo bias. Every entry has exactly the same chance of winning. The spinning animation is drawn to land on the result already selected by the secure generator.
The tiny landing variation also uses secure random bytes. It only changes where the pointer stops inside the winning segment, never which entry wins.
This is the strongest general-purpose source of randomness available to ordinary websites without an external service or special hardware. It is cryptographically secure pseudorandomness, rather than a guarantee of physical true randomness.
